It’s Independence Day!
Besides patriotic colors for braces, we’ve devised another fun way to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July in the office with a special wall feature designed to engage you, our patients. For the past two weeks we’ve had an Independence Day Wall in our office. We’re sure some of you have seen it and contributed! Since we are celebrating Independence Day, we gave you the FREEDOM of being creative and writing (or drawing) on multi-colored flags. And wow, some of you got creative. We received poems, drawings, fun facts, words that describe our nation as well as stories of how you and your family celebrate!
Did you know that only John Hancock actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776? All the others signed later. In total, 56 men from 13 colonies signed this incredible document. Today we celebrate on the Fourth of July even though the first Independence Day was celebrated on July 8th in Pennsylvania. This was the first time the Declaration of Independence was read to the public.
We hope you all enjoy this day and take a moment to recognize its significance. If you were unable to add to our Independence Day Wall or would like to add more, please comment down below or on our Facebook post! We would love to hear how you and your family celebrate and what this holiday means to you! Will you catch a parade or fireworks this year? What’s the best fireworks viewing spot? Do you go to a beach or out on a boat for a front-row seat to the spectacular sights and sounds of the Fourth of July? Hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July with family and friends!
Happy Fourth FVO Family!
